Dos Ojos (Two Eyes) PDF Print E-mail

One of the most popular places for the cavern and cave diving. An exciting jungle ride takes you to its isolated location where you drop down into a bat cave.

"Two Eyes" named after the two cenotes which do connect. This is where footage for the IMAX film "Journey into Amazing Caves" was shot. Here you can experience one of the most magnificent underwater cavern ecosystems in the world. You can also explore the "Bat Cave" without getting wet. This place is worth a visit if you are interested in cenotes.

Akumal is home to the second longest barrier reef in the world. It is excellent for open water scuba diving as well as the finest fresh water cave diving on the planet. For snorkelers, the coral reefs are a short and easy swim from the beach.

The Akumal Dive Shop and Akumal Dive Center can provide all of your scuba diving and deep sea fishing needs. These two dive facilities offer open water boat dives, cave diving in the jungle cenotes, fishing trips, equipment rental, snorkeling gear, dive certification classes and specialty dive courses.
